Materials in Medicine

Materials are essential and central to the development of new medical techniques and therapeutical capabilities, as well as to the continued health of the Swiss medical industry. The department of Materials at ETH Zurich has a broad effort under way in research for new materials in medicine. This publication reviews the results of this research effort in polymers, ceramics, and metallic materials.
